Episode 5 - Motion in the Ocean

Film Review of Zack Snyder's Watchmen

The times, they are a-changin' and so is the format of Weekly Monotony.  Since we've finished off, well mostly finished off, our "Best and Worst of 2008" segments, our new show format will be "Whatcha be Watchin" followed by a film review and/or game review, along with a promise...well, a goal to keep it under an hour and trending downwards.

Also, I apologize for the AM quality of our voices.  It seems we were missing 32kbps in our last recording.  I will find them and put them back in for next week's podcast where we will review The International.

So have a listen and see if it's worth watching the Watchmen...bet I'm the first to come up with that...sigh...

Show Notes:

(02:25) What We’ve been Watching/Playing

  • Games:
    • Gears of War 2
    • F.E.A.R. 2 (full game)
    • Killzone 2
  • TV
    • Castle (upcoming with Nathan Fillion)
    • Lost (which rocks and Scott should start watching again)
  • Movies:
    • The Reader
    • Bolt
    • Kung Fu Panda

(22:00) Film Review: Watchmen by Zack Snyder

(44:15) Spoiler Section: Do not listen beyond this point if you don’t want stuff spoiled

CORRECTION: Scott makes reference to the controversial Miley Cyrus photo shoot with Annie Liebowitz "for Vogue." Said shoot was actually for Vanity Fair, but that magazine has something to do with Vogue, since both organizations are owned by Conde Nast Publications. Neither of which has anything to do with Daily Monotony.
